Compatibilities of DMC-GF1, DMC-GH1 and DMC-G1
Compatibilities of DMC-GF1, DMC-GH1 and DMC-G1 with other manufactures' products. Below diagrams do not guarantee complete performance.
For each camera's avairable functions, please read the Operating Instruction Manual bundled with each camera body.
Please note that DMC-G1 does not have a motion picture recording function.
Your camera body firmware and lens firmware are recommended to be updated to the latest avairable version.

Direction detection related functions on DMC-GF1/GH1/G1(ex. a function to rotate and play back pictures vertically when they are shot with the camera held vertically) are not available.

The firmware update on lenses to the following designated versions or later is required to enables Contrast AF(AFS mode). Please refer to the required firmware version of lenses listed in the table below.
Please note that the following Zuiko lenses are absolutely required to be updated to the designated version or later, otherwise the message "PLEASE CHECK THAT THE LENS IS ATTACHED CORRECTLY" could be displayed on the camera.

*For these FourThirds lenses, not only they can be updated on DMC-L10 or L1, but also on the Mount Adapter(DMW-MA1) together with DMC-GF1/GH1/G1.

When the camera is in MF mode, the image will be magnified automatically by rotating the focus ring. These lenses do not support this function. It is possible to magnify the image by pressing the left button of the 4-way controller and then pressing MENU/OK button.

The lens firmware Ver.1.2 or later is recommended.

AF tracking is slower than the counterparts in HD movie support Micro Four Thirds lens(LUMIX VARIO HD lens). Also operational noise in AF may be recorded while motion picture recording.

For the Full HD motion picture recording( [FHD] in [AVCHD] ) in DMC-GH1, AF does not work, and it records in MF.

Operational noise of the aperture in AE(Auto Exposure) control may be recorded while motion picture recording.

The camera body firmware is required to be updated to Ver.1.1 or later for GH1, and Ver.1.3 or later for G1, respectively.
The update allows the camera body to recognize the lens retraction correctly, and allows to use the lens correctly by extending it from the retracted configuration. While retracted the camera displays the warning message "PLEASE CHECK THAT THE LENS IS ATTACHED CORRECTLY".

It can be used together with a Leica M lens/Leica R lens. Please set [SHOOT W/O LENS] in the CUSTOM Menu to "ON".
