Wi-Fi
Q.
When the Wi-Fi connection is via a wireless access point, the following messages are displayed frequently.
"Shooting failed.
        Check the camera or memory card."
"An error occurred while copying images.
        An error occurred during communication with the camera.
        Please confirm there are no problems with your communication environment."
"There is no response from the camera. Redo the Wi-Fi settings on the camera,
or move to a location where the wireless signal reception is better and tap the "OK" button."
 
A.
Switch to a direct connection with your smartphone and digital camera, or either move to a different location and/or wait a short period of time before trying again.

Q.
When launching Image App after performing the Wi-Fi settings on the camera, the Wi-Fi connection may be not completed.
 
A.
First close Image App. Turn the Wi-Fi function off and then on again in the iPhone/iPad settings menu, and then relaunch Image App.

Perform the following procedure.


Q.
When connecting the smartphone to the camera by selecting "Select a destination from History" on the Wi-Fi Setup Menu of the camera, the following message is displayed when Image App is launched, and the connection is not completed.
 
A.
Please select "New Connection" on the camera's Wi-Fi Setup Menu, perform Wi-Fi connection again and then launch Image App.

Q.
The Image App is not connecting to the camera over Wi-Fi.
 
A.
Sometimes an app installed on your smartphone will interrupt the Wi-Fi connection between the Image App and the camera.
If you use software that monitors Wi-Fi access (especially security software that guards against viruses, etc.), allow access to the camera.
Please refer to the app instructions for details.

Q.
Backup is not started.
 
A.
In the Wi-Fi settings menu under Advanced, try setting [Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep] to [Always].
 
Other
Q.
The message “Failed to copy because the image format is not supported on this application.” may be displayed while operating Image App.
 
A.
In that case, perform the following steps to change settings.
  1. Tap [Settings] > [Privacy] > [Photos] and set [Image App] to ON.
  2. Tap [Settings] > [Privacy] > [Location Services] and set [Location Services] to ON.
  3. Tap [Settings] > [Privacy] > [Location Services] and set [Image App] to ON.

Q.
The message “Images cannot be displayed. Enable [Location Services].” may be displayed while starting or operating Image App.
 
A.
In that case, perform the following steps to change settings.
  1. Launch Settings and tap Privacy.
  2. Tap Photos in the Privacy setting.
  3. Set Image App to ON in the Photos menu.
